Daniel Ong
Daniel Ong is Executive, Group Finance & Fund Management at Quest Ventures, a top venture capital firm in Asia. He leads the group’s fund management and investor relations, and is responsible for group finance, accounting, and human capital.
Daniel was previously in assurance with Ernst & Young, where he analysed bank loans and property deeds, in addition to verifying journal entries and intercompany transactions. Before this, he was with Sleek where he prepared documentation for statutory audits, prepared financial models for budgeting and fund-raising, developed data visualisations, and performed general bookkeeping. Prior to this, he was with the news desk of The Straits Times where he covered community matters.
As a trained facilitator, Daniel was in charge of the most outstanding group at the 9th Asian Youth Leaders Travel and Learning Camp 2020 which hosted many international participants. He was also a department head at St John Ambulance Brigade.
Daniel is a graduate of the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accountancy) with Distinction with Highest Honours. He was a recipient of the NUS Business Dean’s Scholarship. He has a Hwa Chong Diploma with Distinction and was a member of the Gifted & Talented Education Program. For leisure, he plays the piano.
