April Ong Vaño
April Ong Vaño is Head, Environmental, Social and Governance at Quest Ventures, a top venture capital firm in Asia. She works closely with startups to accelerate their growth through a combination of acceleration services and programmes. She is also responsible for market access initiatives for key markets in Southeast Asia.
April has worked with private sector and government agencies. She was previously with DOHE Global and the Department of Trade & Industry of the Philippine government where she researched technology trends, analysed market dynamics, identified important industry sectors, and recommended startup and innovation ecosystem developments in The Philippines. She founded Collabox, My Soul Briefcase, and Henyo to drive innovation in social enterprises.
She attends startup events as a guest speaker and panelist. She is also a frequent host for international technology and startup delegations to The Philippines.
April has an AB EU Studies in International Relations (Cum Laude) from the Ateneo de Manila University. She was a recipient of the United States Presidential Award from O’Fallon Township. For leisure, she enjoys nature conservation.
