Varden Toh is an Analyst at Quest Ventures, a top venture capital firm in Asia. He works closely with startups to accelerate their growth through a combination of acceleration services and programmes. He is also responsible for market access initiatives for key markets in Southeast Asia.
Prior to this, Varden was with Simply Bake where he was in charge of business development and social media communications. At the Land Transport Authority before that, he streamlined processes for digital customer interaction and registration for personal mobility devices in Vehicle Registration and Licensing.
He was part of Shopee Code League, where he solved challenges such as order brushing, late delivery resolution, image classification model, and product review sentiment classification model. At Decision for the Decade, he used Python to design winning strategies.
As a Director for Marketing with the NUS Statistics Society, Varden initiated collaborations with the Department of Psychology to explore the use of data science. As director or facilitator in other activities, he planned and executed exercises for hundreds of participants.
He attends startup events as a guest speaker and panelist. He is also a frequent host for international technology and startup delegations to Singapore.
Varden is a Data Science and Analytics major from the National University of Singapore. For leisure, he enjoys coding and volunteering for the underprivileged.
